Appearance:
Kurt is a mutant, born with blue skin covering his body, 2 fingers plus a thumb on each hand and only two toes on each foot, as well as long canine teeth, yellow eyes, pointed ears and a prehensile pointed tail. His skin has a very light layer of fur, which is what has resulted in his nickname of "Fuzzy Elf". His body is covered with a number of angelic symbols, each one representing a sin that he believes he has committed. All of them were carved by him.

General Background Info
After the events of the movie X-Men 2, Kurt stayed at the mansion for a time, but never really felt that he was cut out for the role of being an X-Man. Sensing his unintended separation, Professor Charles Xavier suggested that he spend some time at Fandom High, where he would not be judged by his appearance, but by his actions. Kurt agreed and set off to apply as the librarian. He hopes that in this role, he can be able to continue his personal studies, as well as being able to help children...and come to terms with his place in the world.

Powers and Abilities
Kurt Wagner is a mutant with several superhuman advantages. His greatest power is his ability to teleport himself and some additional mass from one location to another. He does this by means of entering an alternate dimension briefly and reappearing in a desired location. He has to be familiar with the area he is teleporting to. He possesses a "spatial awareness" which stops him from teleporting into solid objects, but this ability diminishes the farther the distance he teleports. Teleporting into other matter would cause severe injury or death. The process of teleportation is a tremendous strain on his endurance and that of any passengers, while extensive training has raised his tolerance for teleportation, most of his passengers lack this tolerance. Therefore one of his tactics is to grab opponents and make several quick teleportations with them. They usually are weakened or even pass out from the strain.

Nightcrawler has agility that surpasses an olympic level athlete and on levels equivalent with Spider-Man. He has enhanced reflexes. His durability, stamina and, physical strength are those of a highly conditioned athlete but they do not reach superhuman levels. He has an ability to cling to surfaces with his hands and feet in a manner similar to that of Beast. He has limited abilities to blend into shadows, both as a result of his indigo fur and his connection to the dimension through which he teleports - this is also the explanation for why he constantly appears in shadow, even in direct light. He has a prehensile tail strong enough to lift an adult man completely off the ground and deft enough to fight with a sword. Nightcrawler has heightened night vision.

Aside from the abilities granted by his mutation, Nightcrawler is a superb fencer and hand to hand combatant. A devout Catholic, he studied theology for several years and nearly became an ordained priest. Although a seemingly irreverent practical joker, he has a very well defined hierarchy of moral values and ethical standards making his behavior a great example.
As a result of his days in the circus, Nightcrawler is a gifted performer capable of acrobatic feats and juggling routines impossible for normal human beings and highly captivating. He also has a wonderful sense of humor and showmanship.

After Nightcrawler teleports, he leaves behind a faint scent of brimstone said to be transported from the alternate dimension through which he travels.

Also, adding to the above "superpowers", Nightcrawler's bone structure allows him to remain in a crouched position for a long time without causing any damage to the spine. His tail can also support his body weight and grab onto objects with relative ease.
